PSCI ANNOUNCEMENT: Upcoming Board Elections

PSCI Elections Timeline:
Each year, PSCI holds elections for the President and Vice President. This year, elections will run from November 8-12.

Voting will occur through both live and emailed ballots. Ballots will be made available on Sunday, November 8 in the weekly newsletter, and members will be able to vote remotely until Thursday, November 12 at 6:30 PM ET. After this time, all remote ballots will be counted before the live election occurs on Thursday, November 12 at our weekly board meeting (7 PM ET). All members are allowed to cast one vote.

Claire Wayner (the current president) will count the remote ballots before administering the live election at the board meeting.

All candidates must express an intent to run on this form by Saturday, October 31. Please note that candidates can hold multiple roles within PSCI; current board members may keep their positions and assume the role of President or Vice President.

This gives PSCI time to put candidates’ bios and headshots into the weekly newsletter to be sent out on November 1 or 2. Members will have a week to reflect over the candidates before voting commences on November 8.

At the live election, all candidates are expected to be present. Each will be given 2 minutes to present their platform and expand on why they are running. Live voting will then occur.
