The Williams-Transco Gas Compressor Station 206

Check out the Princetonian cover about us! University students mobilize against proposal to build fracked gas compressor station in Franklin Township

The gas compressor pipeline runs through New Jersey from Pennsylvania to New York, even though the gas is not sold or produced in New Jersey. Additionally, there are concerns with water and air pollution with its construction. According to current federal figures, thousand of pollutants and toxins will be released into the environment. There has been incidences where the Williams Gas Pipeline Transco have cause accidents in nearby communities, so there are safety issues as well.

Because the federal government has not denied projects like this for environmental reasons in the past, we are actively pressing our state government instead. The 14th of May 2018 is the last day that public comments can be added to the environmental impact statement, so please write your comment!
